I have created this blog in an attempt to provide a place for teachers and parents of children with special needs to find positive strategies that promote academic, social and emotional growth. I believe in early intervention and in positively addressing both the challenges and strengths of students with disabilities.

Another Building Structure
My nephews and niece are in town for the week and have been playing with the building pieces from the last post. They were pretty excited about their creation and wanted it posted on the internet, too. Here's what they created:
I recently compiled a list of the Top 40 Special Education Blogs, and I just wanted to let you know that you made the list! It is published online at http://www.onlinedegrees.org/top-40-special-education-blogs/
Thanks so much, and if you think your audience would find useful information in the list or on the site, please feel free to share the link. The blog is just starting up, so we always appreciate a linkback as we're trying to increase readership.
Maria, I have placed the top 40 Special Ed Blogs on my blog roll.
Jim, I think I'm in a love/hate relationship with special ed law. I love it when it protects my students and parents use it to protect and advocate for their children, but I hate it when I'm filling out so many forms that require so many signatures and initials that I think I must be brokering mortgages for my students' families instead of figuring out an education plan for a child for one year. :-)
